Ok I drilled a new hole to match the other groove tapped it to 5/16 18 which is what the replacement bolt is. The original hole which had been enlarged to something north of 3/8 I filled in using my arc welder and some high nickel rod I had around. Ground the repair down primed and painted the mount, installed it; Looks fine.
If anyone is interested the Napa part number for the bolt is # 82554
