2010 FAT FENDER MOD ROUND TWO ENTRY THREAD

Shown above is last months "CAPO di Tutti CAPO" - tld!!! In a rare shot of what wide fenders are all about...

Alright, here we go again!
And once again these are the rules:

UPDATED RULES
1) Contest open to all model and year Ford Trucks (includes vans, SUV's, All Wheel Drive, all levels of customization, etc) WITHIN EACH CLASS
2) Number of entries in each round limited to the first ten who enter a round. If after two weeks have passed there are less than ten but more than one entries, the entries for that round will close and the deciding poll will run anyway. If there is only one entry it wins by default and moves on to the CHAMPIONSHIP round. Contestants may only enter ONE TRUCK per round. For 2010 the polls will run until the last day of each month in which they appear.
3) To enter - post a picture of your truck at least 640 by 480 pixels in size (no links to other sites. Picture must be displayed in thread) Avoid extremely large images, please. (1024 pixels largest side of image). Huge pictures may interfere with some connection speeds. ALL images will be tailored to size by committee to fit in poll thread. You may only enter ONE truck in each round. First place finishers may not enter additional trucks in succeeding rounds, however - you may enter another truck in one of the other classes.
4) RULE OF OWNERSHIP: You must have owned the truck AT THE TIME YOUR PICTURE OF IT WAS TAKEN to enter it. You may not enter anyone elses truck FOR them. No exceptions
5) CHAMPIONSHIP RULES:
The first place finisher in each round qualifies and is entered in the CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND.
After ten regular rounds, the CHAMPIONSHIP consists of the first place finishers from the preceeding ten rounds running in a "Best of the Best" contest.
6) VOTE MONGERING: You may enlist your buds and chapter, other groups or whatever to vote for your entry. HOWEVER - be warned that all of the polls are annonymous, and your buds can always vote for someone else. There is no way to know! SPAMMING the forums should not be done at any time for this purpose, be careful what you do...
7) Once a poll is up for a round, it will be active until the last day of the month. These polls close by themselves and whoever wins does. If for some reason there is a tie - a tie breaker poll will run until the following sunday night at the latest. Local midnight is based on Central Time in the USA.
8) NON-EXCLUSION: Employees of FTE and/or IBI welcome to enter including moderators or other unpaid affiliates as well as sponsors of the site
9) REPEAT ENTRIES: Out of sportsmanship, it is asked that if you want to enter a following contest, enter no more than two in a row. After waiting for one in between, you may enter again. THIS WILL NOT BE ENFORCED! It is a request, in order to give others a chance. ONCE YOU HAVE WON A ROUND (this is important) you may not enter another round that season with another truck - your winning truck is automatically entered in the finals, and no more than one entry in the finals by the same person is permitted.
10) PRIZES: 1st place winner in each round will recieve a free one year paid membership to Club FTE, which provides access to extra features such as the Club FTE Members Only forum. Those who already are supporters will be given a twelve month extension to the membership they already have.
(I'm assuming that last years good will extends to this one)

GITTY UP!
Let's GO.....

i have about 12 in my gallery, but, have around 40 of resto in progress. i just have to figure out how to scan them into the game. i truly don't expect to garner a lot of votes, considering i am up against some of the best trucks anyone could ask for. the quality of these trucks probably intimidates some folk and prevents them from entering? in my view, this is no different than my pulling into a show and parking between sam and terry. it just shows something different. after 19 years of salt and snow, my truck is not as pristine as it once was. i think i should be in a working class comp. new idea for something down the road? ---ps. you folks do know that your trucks are the cats meow and that we are all winners!!!!

absolutely right.. I think yours is JUST as good as mine, only different.. and I hope others feel the same way about there trucks..
mine might look good sitting still, but it ain't a driver (boo hoo!) like yours is.. (and I'm MIGHTY disappointed about it).

if you post the pics to photobucket, then you can just paste links to the pics in your entry post (what I did).. as fte restrictions on how many it will allow attachments and gallery links.

I have a considerable advantage in the image storage department (One of the perks of doing this). If I can see 'em, I can size and save 'em. But I hate hunting down bad image links - some of the sites out there will only allow a certain amount of bandwidth per account per day, it's something to be aware of.
We oughta gather some more people - this is too good not to gain speed! Ya think?

I noticed that there is an appalling lack of participation in the Diesel and 21st Century series. I don't really know why that should be. I wonder what I ought to do if there are no entrants for three months in a row?

Should I fold it up, declare the standing winners the champions, and just let them go???

I think the biggest problem is that most people on FTE just DON'T KNOW WE ARE DOING THIS...

It would have been extraordinarily helpful to have gotten that contest forum we were expecting. But I still don't know what is going on with that, and I really don't want to bug Adrian about it because he has been so cool to us in the past.

it's a tough call. maybe there should be an introductory note, (when you first sign up to be part of this forum), that explains the fact that there is more than one place to look and participate for your truck. seems like lots of people go directly to their specific catagory and never look any further.

I try not to dwell on it - but deep down I have a resentment about ford truck contests being forced to take place in a forum for things OTHER THAN ford trucks.

Is it any wonder that die-hard ford truck people who bleed ford blue never even notice these threads?

Why would they look in here of all places?

Yeah, I agree.
The Bronco contest are also very suffering...
I only had 4 trucks in Round-2.
And have 4 trucks, now the entry thread hasn't been even posted in for along time.
Get out there and contact people about the contest Wolfie, I spend hours PMing people about the '61 - '79 Championships, That's why there usually pretty full.
Petey Shoes, A flathead V-8!!
I envy you!
