SuperDuty Length with V10

Where I work, I drive around an F250 crewcab with the 8' bed with the V10, a long boy. I'm wanting to buy for myself an F250, Supercab, V10, 4X2 with either an 8' bed or the shorter bed.
My question: Is there much difference in the ride, handling, and towing characteristics from the long bed to the shorter one? I believe the wheelbase differences are 158" for the 8' bed Supercab versus 142" for the shorter bed Supercab.
I tow a travel trailer that totals out at about 8,000 lbs.

really not much difference in the 16" I have had both, like the short bed better, easier to park and get around... fits in the garage with extended cabs, not the crew cab,. I pull a 40ft 5th wheel at about 12,500 with a 16 ft boat behind that. so your little 8,000 lb TT will be a breaze for it.
