I am doing reasearch for two major projects. One the body is mostly done and under primer, but waiting frame mods(79 4dr+supercab with short bed{maybe shorter short bed}), the other 4dr bronco, planning stage. My questions is what are wheel bases on various available trucks? And what are the actual bed lenth differances long vs short? This much I think I have determined by going through the yard and checking data plates,
..................4dr short bed wheel base 150",
bed 6' 10.25"? (bed damged),
............Supercab long bed wheelbase 155",
bed 8' 2.25"? (again damaged bed),
.........regular cab long bed wheel base 133",
...........................bronco wheel base 105".
I got a rough bed differance at 16" or 1' 4".
I could narrow this down if I could get the data on a regular cab short bed (we aint got a one). Assuming there where only two bed lenths.
the bronco pic is great would love to have one of those for the pickups, but it says 104, yet i have wrote down that the data plate on the one i looked at says 105, which i will double check monday. As for the other data sheet pics, i can not make out (even using a progragm to voom in) if all the shortbed lenths(styleside) are the same as far as the fractions go. Also would like to see the whole sheet, where can i get a copy, or good scanned double. thanks fo rthe quick reply and good info.
I would be intersted to see the approach angle differances in the bronce wersus pick up. I assume the front would be the same as a pick up, but how the rears compare short and longbeds would be intersting to know. The Bronco projct will of course have a bronco rear end mated to a 4dr front, so it doesnt matter as far as the project goes, just curiousity.
