Does anyone know how or where to get an IPB for the front brake assy. on my 97 F150? I had to remove the old rusted and rotted shields that are bolted on behind the front rotors, they were rubbing the rotors and making a terrible rubbing noise. I know the dealer has them or can get them. Before I go to the dealer, I like to know about what something costs...to avoid the rip off. Any help would be appreciated..........Tonebone
I remember a thread in the `87-`96 page about a year ago on that subject, the conclusion was that you have to get ripped off at the dealer and smile.
Maybe someone here knows better (hopefully).

Uh huh...Does the following look like a rip off to you?
2) 2L3Z2K004AAreplacedF85Z2K004A .. Front Brake Rotor Shield / Right/Left is the same.
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...st-guards.html here is the thread I was talking about. Note the post by danr1 where he was quoted over $200 each for his `94.
However at $14.00 I agree not a ripoff. Good work in sourcing that.

Some dealers are outright thieves. My favorite thread on this subject concerned a 351W valve cover for a '90's truck.
The OP was quoted over $300.00 by his local dealer. The real MSRP was a healthy $90.00, discounted price was $66.00.
The OP went to a wrecking yard, got one for $20.00.
Numberdummy, I ran the part numbers you listed for the shields and could not find them anywhere...where did you get the numbers from............Tonebone
Numberdummy, I ran the part numbers you listed for the shields and could not find them anywhere...where did you get the numbers from? The 1990/2002 Ford Light Truck Parts Catalog.
If at first you don't succeed, try try again. Did you type the part number correctly?
2L3Z2K004AA is the current and correct part number.
I just typed this part number into the in-house Ford Dealer Parts Locator System, and found that:
19 Ford parts depots have 209,55 FoMoCo dealers have 83.
Two IL Ford Dealers have two each: SESSLER FORD in Libertyville (847-362-4550) / UFTRING FORD in East Peoria (309-694-0700).
But...I dunno what these two dealers asking price will be, because dealers can charge whatever price they want to.
The MSRP (Manufacturers SUGGESTED Retail Price) each is $19.93. If you buy them from FTE sponsor PARTSGUYED.COM, your price is $14.35 each.
