This truck is plagued with these error codes when the microprocessor is engaged. That would be with or with out the 12000 lb rv connected. Ford says the onboard computer works OK and Superchips says their processor works OK. The codes can be triggered in any of the performance modes, sometimes with 100 lbs of corn and on level road. Or it can be triggered by pulling the trailer up the driveway at about 8% grade. Original tranny lasted 120000 miles and has had 5 Jaspers installed in the last 65000 miles, only one failed completely with a blown clutch the rest were replaced due to error codes and supposed torque converter problems. Very puzzling
Welcome to FTE Tom. As Mark said, tell us a little about your truck. Ford motor company has been making trucks for several decades since computers were first installed, so the answer to your question really depends on what year truck, what model, and what motor you have.
The only thing I can tell you with certainty is you're not having any luck with the Jasper rebuilds.
This truck is plagued with these error codes when the microprocessor is engaged.
You can disengage your microprocessor?
That would be with or with out the 12000 lb rv connected.
You connect your microprocessor to an RV?
Ford says the onboard computer works OK and Superchips says their processor works OK.
I am sure they do, but it sounds like they do not work well together.

Seems to me that if the truck didn't throw error codes prior to installing the Superchip, but does after you installed this Superchip, that maybe (just a guess here) the Superchip is to blame.

Do you have any additional cooling for your transmission? Assuming you have a 4R100 here. Heat is the enemy. Do you have an after market trans temp gauge? Do you change the fluid regularly? How often do you pull "the trailer up the driveway at about 8% grade" ?
Some information on the truck would be very helpful.
Dear Mark: Thank you for the reply. The truck is a 1995 Turbo Diesel with 190000 miles. We have pulled a 12000 lb trailer more than 90000 miles with it. it has a 7.3 Liter diesel, an e4od auto transmission and 3.55 rear axle. The last transmission is a Jasper Commercial upgrade that has less than 5000 miles and i can trigger the codes just by using the superchips processor and waiting about 200 miles. Symptoms are rough shift and flashing light on the shift selector. Clear the codes and the thing works as it should. I bought the processer to establish firmer shift points for pulling the trailer, not the horsepower. I am lokking for dependability more than flat out preformance.
Hey Tomboil, wlecome to the fourum. Stick around here, do some searches, and ignore the occasional sarcasm and you will be amazed at how much you will learn.
Have you talked to people at Superchips? Maybe they can shed some light.
As mentioned, aftermarket guage, aux. fluid cooler, and reguler fluid changes are essential to keeping the tranny healthy in a heavy tow set-up. Keep pluggin', you'll find the solution.
Tom, which shifts are you trying to firm up? Instead of messing with an off the shelf tuner, there are much better alternatives out there. If you scroll further down the main forum lisitng, you'll find the 94 - 97 7.3 diesel section. Those guys can help you out on chips and tuners.
If you're only interested in the shift issues, ask them about it. Your options range from "The Cure" which was meant to deal with one certain shift issue on the E40D, to installing either a transgo tugger or sonnax springs in the valve bodies to firm up the shifts. Also if you upgrade to a good custom tuner (runs about the same $$ as the off the shelf stuff), they'll adjust the shift firmness for you. Bill at racerxautomotive can sell you the parts and offer install advice if needed.
Have you upgraded your, or installed a secondary tranny cooler? Do you have a tranny temp guage where you can monitor your transmission temps? If you're tired of the jasper, we can recommend a couple of guys who will build you a tranny that will take the abuse.
