Block number

I can't find the block numbers on my engine. I found the casting numbers, but I can't find any information on the casting number. The casting number is d0ve-a. If anyone can tell me any information on the casting numbers, or where to find the block number, it would be greatly appreciated.

The casting code D0VE is a 1970 cast code....that number is on the heads, no? Could have been in MY 1970 or 1971 vehicles. Wouldn't be originally in a dent.

Generally, casting codes on the block are on a boss just behind the starter. Also, locate the oil sending unit - a date code and plant casting code are there....if not worn away.

What engine?
