Rochester, MA huh? Where are you located? I'm over here on the western side in the Springfield, MA area. No way. The spring hangers are probably paper thin, cab corners are probably gone, the carpet is hiding the floorboard that's about to be see-through, and the bed has probably already been bondo'd over the wheel wheels.
To be a hypcorit, I just bought my current IDI down in a town just north of New Haven, CT. Bought it from a farmer who used it during the summer, but stored it in a garage over the winter. The underside of teh cab still has paint. I say $2,500 max for this area. Late 85, 86, and 87 are the best years to look for with 87 being the best of all IDI's. Keep that in mind while you search, good luck!
Do you need 4x4? Crew cab dually too much truck for you? I've always wondered about swapping a SRW pickup axle and matching SRW pickup bed onto a Crew Cab Dually. Find F250 2wd front I-Beams and bolt them into the Crew Cab. Use a 2wd F250 for the front hubs, rear axle, wheels, and bed. Bolt everything up and BAM you've got a Crew Cab Single Rear Wheel pickup truck...only downside is 2wd.
