headers
i have a '98 f150 with a 4.6l v8. I have flowmaster super 44 exhaust but i am looking to make it a little louder. I have heard two different opinions about installing headers. One of my friends said that they will make it somewhat louder, but not all that much. I have also heard that it will be so loud i cant hear myself think on the highway. How loud do you think headers will make my truck?

Can't answer that, but I'm sure the answer is going to be dependent on whether it's long tube or shorty headers. I know it will change the sound, but I'm not sure if it will increase the volume of that sound. Headers will increase horsepower a bit. If you want it louder, cut off the pipes behind the muffler......
