Hi am George froma argentina, i have a problem, am brebuild a FT 361, whit a camshaft mad dog, but a don`t know how install de timing chain, i have a dilema.
The manual say:

that is ok, but whit de parts of timing chain, it is not have the ponit like sayed de manual, the point this one in another side and it arrives of the spike opposite to the graph of the manual.
The rusty original parts this not have any mark look de picture

the other side looks the mark point

Which is the correct form to assemble it?

Looking at the pictures, it looks like the pin is the proper alignment point for the top sprocket. But it looks like the pin is on the opposite side on your new sprocket?
Is there a mark on the lower sprockets--old and new? The lower sprocket is keyed, so it can only go one way.
Are you certain you are at top dead center on the compression stroke for the number one cylinder as part of this installation? The book should specify that if I recall correctly.
Since the lower sprocket is keyed, it will be in the correct position as long as the engine stopped at the correct spot. (top dead center on the compression stroke for number 1 cylinder--check the book).
Since the pin is in the same place as the mark on the upper sprocket, placing the pin as shown in the book ought to give you the proper alignment.
Any help? Good luck with it.

That looks like a different sprocket in the manual. The picture of the sprocket in the manual has 36 teeth, and your sprockets have 48 teeth.
I would align them up according to the sprocket that you have in hand. Either way, since the cam sprocket has twice the number of teeth of the crank sprocket... if the cam sprocket is rotated 180 degrees, the crank sprocket will be in the same spot!

OK....I see what you are saying....the timing mark on the sprocket is opposite the fuel eccentric dowel pin compared to the reference manual pictures.
Don't worry about it. This is a 4 stroke engine. So if you put it on with the timing mark near the top of the engine, and rotate the engine 1 full turn, the marks will then look like the picture....both pointing to each other.
After teh single rotation, the dowel pin will be on top instead of below, but it doesn't matter. You are merely on the other stroke, but the cam will still be timed to the crank.
Make sure you do the 1 full rotation and then use a ruler (straight-edge) like in the pic. It's easy to get off by one tooth.
