37 inch tires on stock suspension? Is the F250 any higher than the F100 of the same year? If not then I might be going for 37's with 2 inches of lift. That would be great!

F250's are about 4" taller. I think you'd need 4" of lift to fit 37's comfortably. Either that or a sawzall.

you have to remember, untill 77, all 250s were "highboys." its not a factory lift like some people (and eve i used to) think. they just changed the front springs on it for the 78 models so it would be easier to for owners to get in and out. and they consequently lost bout four inches of clearance. with most F100s and 150s, if the front end hasnt relaxed (like on my 78, but not on my 76), you can get away with 35s just fine on the stock suspension. with a two inch lift, the 37s would be a dang tight squeeze. yeah, it just seems like two inches, but the circumference changes drastically, from bout 110 inches around to 116. also effects gear ratios.

I think Ill stick with the 2 inch lift and 35's then. I just wanted to know before I buy tires this summer. I still cant wait to get my new clutch and flywheel and get back on the road.

Thanks everyone, the roll bars looks ok in the video but in person I just didn't like them so off they went. Here is a couple of pics of recovery points I just finshed this week. They go through the bumper to the frame.
