GRRRR I was lied to then. People need to stop doin that. I was told it was factory and then I saw the lift blocks in the rear but they look weird. They have a triangular bar coming out the side that rests on the axle. Every lift block ive ever seen in my life is just a rectangular block.

Ford uses the same rear springs on both 2wd and 4x4 trucks. So, to get the extra height out of the 4x4 models, they use a factory block. Every 4x4 truck has them.....even the brand new ones. The triangular thing is a bump stop. There is a rubber bumper on the frame that it contacts under full suspension compression. On a 2wd model, the bumper simply hits the axle tube. But, on the 4x4 trucks, they have to extend the stopper. Otherwise, the suspension would compress too far and damage the spring and shock.
Ok then, it is factory then? I cant believe that this thing can fit my 33 12.50's and someone on here has 35 12.50's thats crazy for a non lifted truck! I might not even lift it then. I want 35's but don't want to put a block on top of a block.

Reason: spelling
dude. these trucks just strait up swallow tires whole. ill bet if someone could find a 37x12.5, it would rub only slightly at full lock. my F100 has 31x10.50s, and looks like the tire is just too small for it.
I think the 33/12.50 look too small I want to move up to 35/12.50's but I plan to go trail riding with lots of articulation and I dont want it to rub. What do you think?

Yeah, it is factory. But it's no taller than any other stock F-150. Wheel width and backspacing is just as important as tire height. My 79 F-250 4x4 has 36's on it......and it has stock springs that are completely worn out and seriously sagging. They fit because they are only 9.5 inches wide. You can even fit 35x12.50's on a stock 97+ F-150....if mounted on stock wheels. If you ditch those 10" wheels of yours for some 8's with plenty of backspacing, you should fit 35's just fine. You can also lift the front end up 2 inches pretty easy. And, there are several simple ways to lift the back that doesn't require stacking blocks.
yeah they make em. but you should be fine. theres a company that i dont remember the name of that makes a drop shackle for the leafs. it lifts the truck like two inches, and lets the axle drop an extra 6 or 8 inches. up front, you wont want that cause it will mess with your steerin. and i doubt youll ever do anything that will fully compress your front springs, so you shouldnt rub. if it does a bit, the amount that it does would more than likely just make noise, nothin else.
thanx man, i was suprised how much flex i do get! awsome fun, tho, i have`nt put the xlt strips or painted gloss black as it gets knocked around a bit and don`t wanna wreck them.
