Don't know, but the way I have it routed, is actually backwards around the tensioner. I had to pull it up to its full range of travel & then slip the belt opposite of how it normally rides on the wheel & release. ( If that makes sense) Can you try that? Then again, maybe that length is just not adequate for your particular year & its slight differences.

Well there are some minor diffs tween the 250/150 as has been pointed out to me on more than one occasion. This might be another. I can describe the rope trick I used to measure for it if you can't get tension.

Here was my experience with this issue so far. I have a 1993 F-150 302. I bought the delete pulley from Summit for about $50. Bracket and everything mounted perfect, however the pulley with the delete bracket is smaller than what was on my smog pump. So far the stock belt on it will fit, but it buries the tensioner and acts like it's a worn out belt. (I.E. squealing when you hit the gas, at startup sometimes, and when the AC or Defrost is on). The factory belt is 99" and some change but I'm going to try a 97" belt tomorrow.

I also cut the exhaust just after the resonator and am running straight pipe up to the tailpipe for now. Truck sure sounds good, now if I can just find the right size belt...

Brand new tensioner too. Also I plugged the top ports of the solenoids with some 1/4" vacuum plugs.

GO to the auto parts store and pick up the a/c delete idler. they should have it in stock and it will replace that smaller mustang idler making the system work with the stock belt. ill go out in the garage and see if I kept the idler off that set up in the a/c box and grab the part # for you.. I had to do this also... thought I posted it.

Edit : Dayco 89013 (Knew I kept this clutter around for more then me...) I also feel like a dick because all the asking for update s I did in this thread, I never did myself. So here it is lol I got that same bracket you did, idler was to small, and there is my fix.. lol GL... now wheres my reps lol

Well I read your post too late, but the good news is that i found a belt that works at my local Oreilly's. It is the Micro V belt number K060970. Now I'm just waiting on my exhaust to get here, put it on and be good to go!!!

Didn't see that name on the packaging, but probably still a Gates subcompany. Taped a part of the packaging with the part number to the fan shroud so I won't have to do this again.

No, I figure I've done so much exhaust work like this I figure I could do it blindfolded. Funny, not many people that I've bumped into know that the 302 sounds pretty darn good if you cut the exhaust behind the resonator and in front of the converter and just run pipe the rest of the way. Don't even need to spend money on a performance muffler.
