My question is if it would be possible to customize your doors to open upwards like on a lamborgini or something? I think it could be possible but what all would i need?

I've thought about it, too, but you'd need everything a custom paint & body shop has, including experience.

Crazy Idea Question?

once saw a 99-2000 stang vert that had doors that opened like that. basically its just a diferent hinge and a shock on each door. theres more to it than that, obviously, but parts wise, thats all there really is.

Crazy Idea Question?

Anything is possible if you own your own welder

If I went this route I would make sure the door frame was reinforced so in a side collision the door would not intrude into the passenger compartment. Those 1" thick hinges add a lot of strength to the door and prevent it from collapsing into your seat when struck from the side.
FWIW.

Crazy Idea Question?

My wife was reading this over my shoulder as I was. She said we have all been watching too much Monster Garage with Jessie James...
