I finally got the pictures up. They don't show a lot because I have the bigger tires on. The stock size winter size do look too small for the truck when they are on.
I have a 2.5" autospring kit in the front and a add a leaf in the back. This helps maintain the stock cargo cap. If you just lift the front you cannot take the same load you could before. With this kit and I easily clear 33x12.5x17 BFG tires on 9.5x17 Procomp 1079 rims. I am sure it would clear 35" tires but I bought the tires before I installed the lift.
I will put some pictures in my profile.
Hey Jeff,
What do you think of the "ride" in the front? The reason I asked is; I was reading some posts on a F150 forum, a few guys were putting the Autospring down, because they claim the "ride" was alot different once the Autospring kit was installed. They were claiming that the Protech leveling kit was better.
I don't see how; I mean Autospring is the first leveling kit I've seen for sale with a proper offset designed into it.
I'm still leaning towards the Autospring 2.5 or 3.
Let us know how the "ride" is; if it's any different than the stock "ride".
I didn't find it change the ride very much at all. I also went with 8 ply tires the same day I installed the lift. That would have also made the ride stiffer. Before this truck I had a F-250 with an extra leaf in all corners so this truck rides like a dream compared to it.
I haven't seen the Protech leveling kits yet. Thanks for the reply on your Autosprings. I was looking at Rancho and Bilstein, they have the height adjustable shocks; but it sounds like they are increasing the pre-load of the spring, that has to be alot stiffer than the stock.
