I am looking to put on a leveling kit. I am looking at a 2.5 or 3 inch. has anyone put these on or used them? i want the front end to sit up some but not any higher then the back......
I've got a 2 inch kit on the front of mine and it's now completely level. It won't void your warranty if you have engine or tranny problems. But if a ball joint goes bad or any component that interfaces with the front suspension, expect the dealer to blame the leveling kit.
I would recommend ready-lift. The leveling kit is a 2.5 and install easily (about 1 hour). Doesnt effect warranty and as well dose not effect the ride. Every Ford truck I have seen with a leveling kit seems to be nose high. Ready lift offers a lift block for the back to fix this. It is enough to add a little rake back in the stance to where it looks mean as hell. Easy to install (about 30 min) and dose not effect warranty or ride. Awesome product and love the result on my truck.
I just installed the 2.5" kit from autospring on ebay. truck sits almost perfectly level. only $80 shipped for the powdercoated kit. took about an hour to do one side but the other side only took 20 min. going to have it aligned today.
I have the HELLBENT STEEL 2.5" leveling kit. What is nice about this kit, Is that it goes on top of the shock tower instead of in between. You don't have to disassemble the coil over assembly and you wont change the ride quality. I still recommend getting an alignment done after wards because you still changed the geometry.
I have a 2.5" autospring kit in the front and a add a leaf in the back. This helps maintain the stock cargo cap. If you just lift the front you cannot take the same load you could before. With this kit and I easily clear 33x12.5x17 BFG tires on 9.5x17 Procomp 1079 rims. I am sure it would clear 35" tires but I bought the tires before I installed the lift.
I have a 1" Daystar block PN KF09115BK (actually 1.5") ready to go whenever I get around to putting it in. I didn't want to go completely level. I like just a little bit of rake up front.
I was thinking of putting a Ready-lift on my '07. I was checkin'-out photos of the installation process on-line at different sites, etc...
The only thing that stalled me on the idea; was after looking at the installations and such, it looks like the upper control arm ball joint on both sides is maxxed out on an angle, after the kit is installed.
Maybe it's just me, has anyone noticed this?
