78 f150 4x4. going to drop the muffler and put a glass pk on it. i beleive my pipe is 2 1/8 if i was to get a size larger inlet/outlet for the glass pack, is that the way id want it, or go smaller inlet/outlet for the glass pack. do i want the pipe to fit over the glass pack or the glass pack to fit over the pipe?

If they are cherry bombs, the ends are much thicker steel than your average exhaust tubing, so putting the tubing inside the cheery bomb may not seal it when you clamp down on the thicker steel.
If indeed it's a cherry bomb put the thinner exhuast pipe on the outside, when you clamp it the cherry bomb's steel is thicker and will make it easier for the exhaust tubing to seal against it.
Just from my own experience which is why i'll never go with the red cherry bombs again, unless i'm butt welding it to the tubing.
i was just told that my exhaust is measured by OD-outter diameter and the mufflers are measured by ID-inner diameter. so, the muffler would fit over my existing pipe. and with a few welds, i think itll work
yuppers. i used the cherries on my truck. sound great. just be careful when youre weldin not to burn through your pipe. try to keep your heat in the pipe of the glasspack.
