Exhaust Temp Gauge
Has anyone ever mounted the EGT sensor in the downpipe from the turbo? On many semi-trucks the Pyrometer sensor is mounted just beyond the exhaust outlet of the turbo in the downpipe. I am getting ready to replace the whole exhaust system with a 4" Turbo back and before I install the downpipe I could drill and weld in the necessary connector for a sensor? I really dont want to remove and drill an exhaust manifold, besides that really only covers the temp in one bank and is affected drastically by the one cylinder dumping right on it. Thanks for any feedback.
