Post turbo EGT?

I've just put an exhaust on the my '07 6.0 PSD. While putting on the exhaust, I had a 1/8" NPT fitting put in the 4" downpipe for the Pyro. I realize that most folks are monitoring EGT at the manifold and most references to EGT are at that point. I may still put a probe in the manifold, but already have this port to put it in. What temps should I use as guidelines, how hot is too hot at the top of the downpipe, closest to turbo as you can get, next to the clamp.

or should I just drill/tap the manifold and install the pyro there. I've got the quadzilla commander to install for the EGT gauge.

Well you can see a good 200 degree difference in temp(cooler with post turbo) with it mounted post turbo v. pre-turbo. It could be more or it could be less, but roughly 200 degrees. So if people are saying for short burst try to not go past 1250 and this with it mounted pre-turbo, then for you it would be around 1050 for short bursts(I'm not saying thats the temps that you should do, just trying to explain the difference between the two positions for the probe). I would actually just have it mounted pre-turbo just to make it easier to where you don't have to translate what other people recommend to fit you( if you cool down your truck and shut it off based on egt temps(which is usually ~300-400 degrees, with you it would be ~100-200) for example).
