What is propane's price per gallon now? I am sure it's high since it's winter.

Most people are like you describe and don't like the inconvenience, but if the price is right, some people go to a lot of trouble, for instance waste vegetable oil and other waste oils for diesels.

personaly I want to be different. I like that it may be cheeper. I like the propane powered hi-lo's and shwains ice cream trucks that run on propane. Its convenient for the most part. But, I think the dual fuel would be most practical. If your low on propane, and its midnight you could switch it to gas. You could switch it to gas before you shut it off in the cold. That way it starts a lot better. I have heard the propane trucks are cold blooded in the cold weather. It might just be more practical to have a dual fuel carb set up on a engine that runs pretty solid. Also better output ignition parts. A higher out put coil so the fuel burns more efficiently. But, im thinking also its still a practical plow and work truck. I could be wrong.

If i had the money i'd be all over it. To be honest it would be really cool to have a dual fuel propane setup. Maybe one day i'll do it.

Yeah. Me as well. But running dual fuel would allow to start on gasoline. So shouldn't be a problem at all.

According to this, Heating Oil and Propane Update

right now it's about 2.68 per gallon. That's running neck and neck with diesel fuel, and higher than unleaded. And since you get less miles per gallon, I don't think it's going to be cheap.

prices

yeah, diesel is like 2.84 here and 87 gas is 2.69$ I have to check the price of propane. Good point.. Theres a guy that use to drive large delivery trucks powered on propane, or gasoline. He said as long as you switched them all the way to gas before you shut it off then they would start up well on gasoline, and you could switch them over. But, im wondering propane prices. Gas is 2.69$, and thats the cheepest its been for a little while. I can't afford to drive my truck daily, so I drive it when I need to pull, and haul things. Can't do that with the car. hmm..

Pennsylvania? Hmm, I have to check around here. Not to long ago gas was 2.84$ a gallon here in michigan. If it is 1.50$ here... that would be nearly half so it would make up for any less miles per gallon you know?? pretty niffty
But im not sure of the propane prices
