ya see my f150 wont turn a tire and they are small ones on right now, 245/65 R16 tiny but my father in law got them put on about amonth ago. but the motor has 200k so maybe its getting tired, but it does get 18 in town no joke and 23 on freeway
You can't turn a small tire and you're getting really good gas mileage. I'd love to know what the gear ratio is in your rear diff....

seriously me to. if you cant light up the stock tires, you arent going to be able to lift it!
i got the 4.6 with 258k original miles, 3.55LSD 265/75R16s and its got some *****. its tired but its still got *****.
I think i have the same rear, i sit at 2k RPM when doing 70mph. if its wet out i can spin both so no one tire fire here, but ya i cant burn out on dry pavement. but i can pull out 24foot bayliner and haul *** and have no trouble up a hill, so it has ***** just seems like more mid range torque. cant burn out but will pull anything you have attatched to it and get on the freeway doing at least 55mph
what are the specs on the truck? bed/cab size? im hoping 4wd....
i had a 93 with 3.08s and a 5 speed OD. it cruised at 65 at around 2k and would pull a trailer at those speeds to. but boy did it suck when it came to around town fun.
we have a 24foot bayliner with a cabin under it, I think its close to 7k since its a tandem axle trailer, but itll pull that thingall day with out breaking a sweat, the rrear dosnt really sag when loaded either

do you understand how this is not making any sense?
you can pull a 7klb trailer all day with an f150, which isnt squatting at all(?), but you cant light up the stock small tires?
ok so the tag is really corroded, but i saw at the ens of the tag 8 1/2, im guessing thats the ring size, its a 2001 f150 ext bad, auto with over drive, 4x4 short bed, 4.6v8, every thing stock. also said on the tag somthing about senthetic gear oil
the tag that says synthetic should be on the left. the tag with the numbers should be on the right. its the bottom row left hand side of the tag will have the gear ratio.
