Reminded me of one of the stories my father-in-law was telling me. He's a retired Ford man, been retired 28 years now. He told me that when a plant worker or assembly worker would buy a car/truck they would buy the base model. (back then you could watch your car/truck being built) All your buddies on the line would put all the options in different compartments ie: radio in heater door. So when you picked up your car/truck at the end of the build, all you needed to do was get it home disassemble it then reassemble it with all the goodies. I love listening to his stories.
