K&N Air Filter

K&N Air Filter
I threw one in on the weekend. I needed a new air filter, and since with Canadian Tire's price match policy a K&N was only $65, I went for it. A no name paper filter was $20, so I figured I couldn't go wrong, even though I'm not a huge fan of K&N. I don't think they filter as well, especially in the very fine dust that I deal with on my hunting trips. Also, while they don't need to be replaced, they do need to be cleaned and oiled, and that costs money.
I certainly can't say I noticed any performance gains, but it's reusable and lasts longer, so in the end it should pay for itself.
Crappy Tire wanted ~$600 tax in for the FIPK. Be a cold day in hell when I payed that kinda money.

Pretty simple. If you can find a lower price, they'll beat it by 10%. Canadian Tire wanted $95, I found it somewhere else for $73. Therefore Canadian Tire's price was $65.
I feel kinda bad sometimes for taking advantage of the other place's good initial price, (in this case a small, non-chain, auto parts store), and not giving them the sale. In this case they were on the opposite side of town from me so it just wasn't convenient, plus I saved about $8.
