Found this on CL, thinking about buying the wheels and tires and possibly the lift, but feel a tad bit unsure about buying a used lift...anyone have any experience with this? is 800 a good price to pay for a 6 inch lift and the wheels and tires (the tires are about 10%) according to the owner
yea, i figure i cant get burnt with the wheels...the lift is what i'm a little hesitant on. Im planning on doing some interior mods and stuff with my truck, so i might jsut take some of the interior panels and the wheels, so i have spare panels to mess with or so I can put my interior back to stock....I really would love a 6 inch lift, but dont want to jepordize my safety or my truck..
havent asked yet, but my guess is engine problems...who knows. not really to worried about it. Now as for the lift, what should I be getting? front leafs a drop pitman arm bracket rear blocks? My truck already has ranchos all around so i'm pretty sure shock wise i'm fine...
Thats weird that he's parting this out... It says he's selling the motor as well......
You'll need the shocks off the lifted truck as well.. they are longer if you have a stock height truck ! Drop pitman arm, drop track bar bracket, shocks, front springs probably, rear springs had an add a leaf, rear block, depends on what type of lift it is as well... Some lifts are a bit different of others. If its a pro comp.. what I've listed is what I got with my 4"... 6" might have more.
my truck is leveled, i'm guessing the shocks i have will work because they are all rancho 9000s. i'm on the fence about the lift. I'll have to pull a ton of strings to have the money for it. I can afford the tires no problem, but the lift i'll have to see. Sounds like the concensus on here though is to check everything for any obivous problems but it would be a pretty safe buy for the lift...
If I dont go with the lift is it worth it to buy anything else off this truck? I'm planning on checking to see what CPS it has in it....if i recall correctly the good ones are the black ones correct?
basically i'm probably gonna go check this truck out this weekend, and see what kind of deals I can make since its the same year as my truck.
I would, sounds real fishy to me. And the fact he covered the licence number is the picture of the rear is fishy. It may be worse than a REPO....could be stolen.
