When I bought my truck I knew the rear drive shaft wasn’t the right one. It was out of a Int. Scout! Found a nice used take out of a ‘78 truck a local guy was stripping for parts. Put in new u joints and installed today. My slight vibration is gone (no surprise) and my worries of the Scout driveshaft coming apart at the slip joint is gone as well! Wooohooo!

Polished the F350 today to prep it to sell. Need to give it another bath and wax it. That is, if the weather holds out.

I don't know if the shields are factory or not. This truck has an odd mixture of new parts in unexpected places so far. And yes, working on a new cam due to collapsed lifter. But I may have to pull the engine to replace the bearings first. Trying to weasel my way out of it, but I think I know my answer...

My 360 has the shield too. I was however missing the shield under the intake manifold, from what i read that was stock? I am sure my PO tossed it and forgot about it

Its an FE, so yes those are factory and they direct oil into the passages while keeping the valve stem seals shielded .......Dosent look like hes got the turkey pan unless its outside the picture.... Looks like its time for new cam, lifters, rods, timing chain ?
