What Have YOU Done To Your Truck Today?

It's more about what I did over the past few days... Today I drove it, and it ran better than ever.
I opened up my Carter YF or YFA maybe carburetor to see if I could adjust more pump shot, and didn't like what I saw in there. I also noticed my throttle plate was up around the transfer slot/hole, so I backed the idle down. I adjusted the mixture to 1.5 turns out, but still had a little bit of bog and then the sudden lurch of acceleration as the pump finally squirted.
Well the other day I pulled and opened and fiddled with the carb some more, and then decided to check and gap my plugs. Well it's a good thing I did, because as I was grabbing the wire for #6, I could feel that the plug was loose! It and the wire also didn't match the first five. The gap was well above.046, so I bumped it down to around .041 and put it back. I then worked my way forward and did the rest.
I'd checked the first two right after I got the truck, and they looked good so I gave it up... In conjunction with whatever I did with the carb, my poorboy tune up has got the engine running much smoother, and the stumble only appears under certain conditions now, rather than every time I pushed the accelerator.
Still, I also found time to order a one barrel to two barrel adaptor off of evilbay...
My McParts reman YF is missing its check ball and weight!!!

Finally found some Hurricane wheels. Bad thing is they are 15x7, probably why I got them for $80. I will clean, paint, and polish. I might try to fit 33x10.50 BFG KO2s or will sale them, not sure. Really want 15x10. Tires that are on them are 17 years old and very dry rotted.
33x10.5 shouldn't be an issue for those 15x7's

Yep, you've got one of them special clusters that fails when you touch it!
Don't limit you're searches to F-Series...the Econolines also used these clusters well into the eighties, although I don't know the cut-off date.

I have never run anything less than 12.50 wide. I know 10.50s are the way to go but I'm a little affraid of what it will look like. I am more than likely going to sale them and keep looking for 15x10 Hurricanes.

A couple of hours ago yesterday, I opened the doors and checked for leaks as it's been raining like Glengarry Glen Ross here, and found a little water in the very back of the cab, probably from the missing cargo light. Need to order one of those - I've been ordering everything else... It's leaking up front too. The worst is on the passenger side. There is some leakage on the driver side too, but not as bad. I think it must be from the bottom of the windshield, but I've already applied a non-hardening butyl or butyl-like sealer to the top and sides of the rubber-to-body joint.
The water is dripping from the bottom of the dash from what I could see. Might have to just go out there and set a spell inside the cab, and observe...
Today I ordered up the premium McParts ignition tune up kit from Rock Auto, along with a Motorcraft 2150 carb kit to be able to make better use of the one barrel to two barrel adapter already on its way.
