V5 or 6 maybe,...

I found a guy around here recently selling motorcraft GP's for $60 a set new in the bag, bought a set and went to change them did the driver side bank and think I must have damaged the UVCH 's as it now has a strange piston slap sound and the idle is rather off, Now ther was a little bit before, and The UVCH wires were like dry spaghetti so I think some of the wires are snapped as the harnesses arent burnt. So Im assuming bsed on the bosch plugs that were put in it right before I bought it from the dealer who I know changed SOME of them and they were on the passenger bank and there was a minor piston slap sound before which I attributed to worn P+B's in the injectors now its worse,... A LOT. So I figure Ive lost a couple harness connections. So what brands do you guys recommend I know dorman was junk, so what else. Im gonna change all 4 to be sure, also debating changing the valve cover gasket pieces too, anybody used the felpro gaskets for these, any good? Still presently running well enough to go to work but definately not ideal. Not to mention only about 6 lbs of boost.

Well put it this way, no power to an injector means no top end lubrication and bentually possibly scaring the cylinder walls. I drove my truck on a have to basis for 2 days till I got the parts 2 mles down the r an back for school and work, the harness and the Valve cover gasket ran me 140 at he dealer. It was way cheape online but I just couldn't wait for shipping

Are you saying that if fuel isn't being injected that the cylinder walls won't be properly lubricated? Engine oil is what lubricates the cylinder walls, not fuel.

Engine oil lubricated the lower half of the piston, diesel fuel lubricates the top, if engine oil came up to the top then it would smoke like a sivv and burn oil

I'm sorry but I have to disagree with you. Engine oil is what lubricates the entire cylinder. I'm sure you have heard of piston rings, notably the oil control ring. This is why engines don't "smoke like a sivv and burn oil" Fuel is injected and starts combustion before reaching anything like cyl. walls, piston, etc. None of the fuel should reach the cyl. walls or piston crown in liquid/mist/vapor form, unless something is wrong with the engine, thereby making it impossible for the fuel to act as a lubricant.

Nope that is not really how that works......Oil film that the rings don't scrape lube the cylinders.
