Fuel gauge works/doesnt work

Fuel gauge works/doesnt work

Front tank fuel gauge works just fine.
Rear tank gauge goes all the way empty for a while, then moves to way past full.
Any ideas?
94 f250 gasser.

Dirty sender.
It should work fine on long trips after it starts working.
The only way to fix it is to replace the sender.
