If i put on finder flares do you need mud flaps and will they fit, I'm looking at the bushwhackers flares and the husky mud flaps. will the work to getter or will the flares keep the mud off and will they interfere with the mud flaps? Last do you know if they are made in the USA cant find it on there web site, i don't wont some cheap china junk.
Finder flares eh? I have Bushwhackers and have had them for about 8 years. They are solid pieces and hold up very well though I do not remember where they were made.
Now I got mine to cut back on gravel being thrown up on the fender lip and it did cut down on that to the backside to a small extent too. I got some plain flat flaps and mounted those and problem solved. I don't know about the Husky flaps. If they are body contoured they may or may not work. I know flat flaps go just fine. Let me look for a pic.
Here's one on the dyno at Smokin' in the Smokies:
Another closeup of what I am talking about. This old pic is after 11 runs down the strip several years ago:
Ok i did not think that they would fit because they are molded to the body shape. Mike I like the flat flaps to go with the flares looks like the thing to do.
i have to say it, that is a good lookin truck on the dyno. and i have 2 questions for you, tire size/lift or leveling kit, and how wide are you flares?
I ask b/o i have an '02 350 super cab, 7.3L, 156" WB, with a 2.5 leveling kit, i am lookin to put 35x12.50 on it and fender flares, so wondering if they fit and how wide they are, so that i dont have to worry about gravel and mud.
Matt- I had to use the flat mudflaps too- I had the contour ones that fit the truck but they would'nt fit after the bushwacker street flares were installed. Pics are in my gallery.

Thanks. Stock truck as it sat there on the dyno on 285s on the stock wheels. I don't recall how wide the flares are but not really much. The wells will fit some pretty wide tires/wheels as they are. It was more about looks and protecting the metal on the lip, and towards the rear.
