just need an opinion here guys, I have the oppurtunity to buy a navigation head unit for 400 bucks, which is a pretty good deal. I currently have a working head unit so its not like i'm replacing something thats broke.
My question is is it worth it to get the navi HU for 400, or can I really do some decent mods with that 400....I'm struggling with this because I really love the look and functionality of double din touch screen units, but if I can make serious improvements engine wise with the 400 i'd probably rather spend it there. I'm not trying to build a high horsepower rig, just something thats fun to drive, and is reliable and gets decent MPG....mods are in my sig
Basically if I was going to buy mods with this 400 would it be worth it to get HPx FRx and some other stuff...Its not like I wont have this kind of money again soon, just trying to get some opinions to help me make my decision
by looking at your sig there is nothing much u can do with just 400 bucks and get some alot of noticable butt-to-seat power increase. i would go with the head unit there sweet. what brand and model is it?
couple different options. Alpine IVA-W200 Pioneer AVIC-D3, or Kenwood DDX6019. The Pioneer and the Kenwood are GPS, the Alpine is not but I could add one to it. Right now its between the Pioneer and Kenwood, leaning to the Pioneer because it comes with the Ipod adapter and bluetooth module, the kenwood just comes with the Navigation module.
As for noticable upgrades, Seat of the pants feeling would be nice, but i'd also be happy with just things to make her run better. As of right now the plan is do bellowed up-pipes HPx and FRx as well as In-tank mods late this spring and possibly this summer, depending on funds. Possibly a FASS type system if i get the money.
yea that one is 450, but i'm pretty sure i'm gonna go with it. Plus its comming out of a f150, so i'm going to assume that I can use the same wiring harness adapter to put it in mine.
sweet. Its a lot of money but Im pretty sure i'll be happy with it. Planning on picking it up tonight. Anything I should look out for, I am buying it on craigslist...
talked to the guy today, agreed to hold it for me till next week so I can get together what i need for checking the unit. Sounds like a really stand up guy so i am inclined to trust him..
