F250 Build Thread
picked this up last week.it was a sema 2001 truck.it was built by west coast choppers for jesse james to promote his wheels.these are the only set of 22's made in the world. they only mass produced them in 20 and 18s.they are hideous anyways and new wheels this week are going on.
2000 f250 7.3l
i believe its a 10" lift with dual fox resis up front.single fox in the rears
40x15.50r22 toyos m/ts which are going as well
back windows were limo tinted red which has already been removed.ill post more pics when i get them tinted
fox steering stabilizer as well
all the speakers are amped and it has some lame *** bazooka tube behind the seats that is going as well.i put a w200 double din in the dash.has sirous satellite radio.
edge programmer, air raid intake, straight pipe dumped under the passenger first door.
its geared and locked.im thinking a 4:88 maybe bigger but it sucks on the freeway.i need to get a gps speeds to figure out the gears.
full lariat interior with woodgrain door panels.
inside the flames it has airbrushings of skulls and says "**** off" in it.one day those will be gone too
basically i bought this truck to pull my toyhauler with and to dd.it gets about 15-17 on the freeway which is better than ive ever had.i got it for 13k
the things that were bad with it:
of course,wheels/tires
door lock actuators
power seats wernt hooked up
he was asking 18k for it but i got him down tremendously.now onto the pics
changing out the headlights and halogens
before
after
all done
these are the tires that are going on it. 40x12.50x20 michelin 12 ply military tires
and for wheels i was going to go with novakannes but decided to go a different route for various reasons.will post pics today or tomorow when i get them installed.
also got my 17,000lb 2 1/2" receiver welded on there for my trailer
also i have a train horn setup with 5 gallon air tank and 480c viair compressor with for the horn as well as on board air
now on to the criticizing(sp?)
plans for it is to install wheels/tires,tint,rhino line the bed.i want to dechrome it eventually but not 100% on that yet.also want to get a nice set of steps instead of these running boards that are on there now.also i need to install the new actuators and i have a viper remote start system for it.and eventually dynomat/subs but thats all for now.thanks for lookin

It has potential.
I'd keep it as is and sell it with all documentation regarding Sema '01 / Built by West Coast Choppers / Jesse James.
I bet you'd eventually find a Jesse James/WCC fan that would pay top dollar for a vehicle with a history like it has.
How many miles on it?

It does look like a sturdy truck. For $13,000 with 147,000 miles I think you probably did ok on the deal as long it's at least in fair running condition which it sounds like it is.
Those rims don't look all that bad? I wonder what they might look like painted black? and getting rid of the center caps.

I'm sure you could find someone that would appreciate the rims for what they are.
I've already got the rims I want. I've been using the same style on almost every vehicle I've owned since I bought my first muscle car. I'm still looking for a new set for my truck for winter and the trails.

that truck with 40" military tires is WAYYY tuffer then a chevy would be..
to get those tires under a IFS chevy, you'd basicly have 2 feet of goofy brackets hanging down..
trust me that truck is easily 100X better a IFS chevy.
dam those rims are ugly. every set of J.J wheels i ever seen were terrible. that dude has no style.
