Which Dana rear axle did it have? Two were available on F100's.
The 9" was standard equipment.
If someone ordered Limited Slip (L/S), Ford usually installed the Dana 44...because the 9" was not available in F100's with L/S until mid-year 1968.
In addition, the Dana 60.2 was also available as an option...with or without L/S.
I'm sure it was a Dana 44.at the time i parted it out i didn't even pay attn. to the rearend and didn't know anything about the 44's or the 60's.as the years have gone by and thhe knowledge i have picked up from you fellers i have determined that it is a 44. it now hauls coal and firewood.
BlueBolt,
Didn't, however, the radiator support have to have openings cut to allow the grille guard supports to pass through to the frame?

Good point I added pictures to my gallery of the holes in the radiator support, Ford even put on rubber seals with large metal rings. I also added a picture of where the grille guard supports are bolted to the frame.

Hi Gary,
Sounds like a real nice truck you have there!
I don't recall that '65 CS F250 could be ordered with air conditioning as part of a package. I know A/C was available, if not from the factory, a buyer/owner could have their dealer install it as a separately-added option. I would also guess that back in the day, aftermarket dealers could also outfit a '65 truck with A/C as well.
Was your truck equipped from the manufacturer with the Ranger package or were the buckets added by a previous owner?
If you post the information stamped on the Warranty Data Plate located on the drivers' side door, located just below the door latching mechanism, some folks here can decipher and decode it for you. Then you'd know if your truck was indeed originally equipped with the Ranger package and originally with bucket seats.
Your door plate information will NOT be able to tell you if your truck was ordered with A/C or not, but once decoded, it will provide you with SOME information as to what your truck was originally ordered with, what sales district office (DSO) the truck was originally ordered from, and what month/year it was manufactured.
