I think a little oil is ok as long as you tried to clean up most of the oil around the glow plug before pulling them.

Well you can still spin it over just gotta take the glow plugs back out. If you think you have too much oil down in there then i wouldn't try to start the truck without going back in there and getting the oil out. Otherwise you are gonna hydrolock the engine.

Letting it sit wont fix it. If there is quite a bit of oil down in the cylinders then you need to take the plugs out and spin it over to get some of that oil out. Otherwise when you go to start it, the engine will be hydrolocked. How much oil went into the cylinders? Did you clean as much as possible before pulling out the old plugs?

i soaked up as much as i could with paper towels and had a new
plug ready to go in as soon as i pulled the old one. i used the
rubber hose procedure to pull out and put in.

When i changed out mine, I'm sure a few drops of oil got down in the cylinder. but as long as its not alot. I think as long as you clean as much as you could around the glow plug, you should be fine. thats all i did when i swapped mine and it started right up when i was done.

i dont think it was alot. i think just a tiny bit. there was oil on the
stems of the old ones when i pulled the out. the oil was pretty thick
on the stems. its hard to get all the oil soaked up, beacause they
sit like in a vally. but i could see the bottom of the nut on the plug
before i pulled them. thanx for the info.
