Just got a 72 f 250 with a 360. I can only find one aftermarket aluminum intake and thats the edelbrock. Are there any others, and do any other engine sizes like a 390 intake fit? I looked on ebay for a 4v intake and cant find anything other than the edelbrock.
If you want a 4 barrel intake for your 360, the cheap and smart way to go is to find a Ford iron "S" or "T" 4 barrel manifold. Cost a lot less, allows you to run the 4 barrel (keep it under 600 CFM and NO mechanical secondaries) all the gain you will get from the aluminum intake is saving 50 lbs of weight and in a truck that just isn't gonna make much difference.
yeah bear has a point but the edelbrock rpm is nice unit and will leave room for future improvements. The regular performer is nothing special, there are other intakes out there, most are single plains or dual quads.

Anything for a 390 will fit your 360, since it is a 390 block.
Try DSCMotorsports.com the have a lot of good stuff for the FE and I would suggest picking up a 390 and swapping it out in place of the 360 as the 390 is rated at anywhere 315 @ 4600 rpm with stock 4V induction. The 360 is only rated at 215 Hp @ 4200 rpm with stock 2V Induction. I found several low-milage runners in my area for 400-600$ and core motors complete pan to carb for as low as 75$...just a thought...If your engine is getting tired, Summit racing has re-ring kits and full engine kits complete with pistons ford just under 400$. Bit of a mouthful but I hope I helped.

Another beleiver in the horsepower lie. On the street and in a lot of racing venues, torque is way more important.
360 327 @ 2400
390 427 @ 2800
Horsepower is top speed and does nothing for acceleration and the all important low end grunt.

My point still stands, though. I am aware that horspower is for top end, I just like to go fast. Thats why i posted that. But thank you for clarifying.

You really don't know what fast is do you? Oh and 70, 80 or even 100 mph is not fast. Also there is nowhere on the public streets to go fast anymore without endangering others. I really don't care if you endanger, injury or even kill yourself, but when you do it to others I have a major problem with it.
FYI, I have probably been faster on the water than you have been on land. I know I've been fast than you in the air.

Well this is the last time i'm getting into a pissing contest online so i won't be replying to this post again....I DON"T GIVE A RAT'S A$$. Thats real nice, good for you...If you were here I'd give you a whole box of frikin cookies for your land/water/air speed acheivments. So you're cooler than me, you're just an awesome dude, I get it.
I was trying to offer up some advice but if all thats going to do is get me ***** on then its not gonna happen anymore.
Cheeks
P.S. Is 173 mph on an abandoned airstrip in my Galaxie fast and secluded enough for you?

Well I will give you this you are an A$$. I also doubt that unless it was a 427 and the car was stripped, that you actually went that fast. Mainly because my 1969 428CJ Cobra which is 5 times more aerodynamic and a bunch lighter than your Galaxie wouldn't go that fast, even with 3.00 to 1 gears in the rearend. But then you internet heros are all that way.
Whatever fits the 390 will fit the 360. There's a LOT of info on the "net" about the 'FE' engines m- just takes a bit of looking around to find the solution that fits YOU. ( On your 'explorer' - type in "Ford FE engines" and you can find a library. Look into the earlier 390 Ford cars for 'that one' that works for you.
