when i rebuilt the divorced 205 in the 76 it was kinda a pain in the butt. all went smooth except for 3 clips i think that were on the main shafts. might have been 2, ones that hold the gear and theres like a buttload of little bearings in there. took me and another guy to seperate the clips. dunno how the married 205's are, might be different. wish you luck man on gettin another t-case.
nope, need to start looking for one now. gotta get the truck fixed so we can sell it to my uncle to use this winter. are the 205 and 203s the same case (as it, will they interchange?)
i am going to try to find a married 205 on craigslist or ebay in the next couple weeks. than bring the truck to abilene and swap that dirty sucker out.
Married 205 ane 203's use a different case. On my old 79 bronco, they also need different length driveshafts because of the length of the range box on the 203.
Matt, I have a 203 laying in the garage. Make you a heck of a deal. It bolts to a C6. 203 is the chain drive transfer. The 205 is gear and considered stronger. I was going to use the range box from the 203 to make a doubler for POJ, but the cost of the parts to put it together will probably keep me from ever doing it unless I find a real deal sometime. And if I do, I can always find another 203. The 203 came out of POJ.
