I will put something together when I get on my home computer. We always intend to document our outings a lot more than what ends up happening... I think everyone is having too good a time to think about video and pics...lol...lol...lol...lol...lol

LOL, I know the feeling. I ended up using a dash mount for the camcorder and following people or switch it up to get video of myself.
i have to say, i don't have an Ex set up for "off road" or "rock crawling"......BUT it is 4x4 and i have had to lock it in. BUT the thing i absolutely hate.... is my tires!! BFG A/T's are what came on this truck when i got it. they ARE NOT what i will be putting back on it. i like the drivability of the 265/75/16's pared with the 4.30 gears, but performance SUCKS when they are needed.
two time, not just one, but TWO times, i have gotten stuck in 5-6" of mush. don't get me wrong, the LS diff kept both tires turning, locked the hubs in, and couldn't move but about 2 feet back and forth. they are not a mud tire, nor did i ever think they were, but in this good La soft bottom gumbo mud, they SUCK! and it's not like i was buried up to 1/2 tire, just not enough traction to accomplish much. and did i mention they don't clean out for crap as well.
i have definitely found this trucks one weakness, and tires are it. i'll be looking to get some more aggressive tire with maybe some more width for a better foot print.

I hear you but in defense of the Ex, and most factory 4x4s, stock tires blow off road. That's because the mfgrs know that even though 4x4, most of these vehicles will spend the vast majority of their life on pavement.

I couldn't agree more. I hated the rugged trails. BUT, the did wear like iron. Even better than iron. I kept hoping they would just wear out, but NOOO. I got rid of mine at 68K miles and still had a little less than half of the tread depth on them. I swear I could have gone to 100K.
On straight pavement, dry conditions, they were great. Tracked straight and true, strong sidewals, and were great. However, they would slide on the slightest wet road, terrible for wet braking, and no snow or ice ability at all.
I am so much happier with my Silent Armors. They do all of the same on dry, but are GREAT in the wet, snow, ice, and even the 3 to 4 inches of mud that I have hit so far.
Did you notice that Tire Rack lists the Rugged Trails as Highway/All Season tires?
i totally agree. the BFG all terrain is not a designated mud tire, better than a stock continental, but all tires spin the same when they're slicked over like a greased goose turd, LOL.
but it's definitely another item to add to the list, for me any way.

I noticed that myself, had a set on my 97 trooper. The only tire I actually enjoyed was the goodyear Mtr, aside from the horrible road noise at speed they were GREAT. For the Ex my next set will probrably be the Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac..
When you look at the Duratrac's, take a good look at the Dunlop Maxx Tractions. They are realy nice tires. If I ever do go up to 315's, those are the ones I'll be going to.

These Goodyear Duratrac's are the best all terrain tire I have ever purchased. They are amazingly quiet at highway speeds for such an aggressive tire. They are excellent in the snow here in northern Minnesota. I previously had BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A's, and these Duratrac's are far superior in traction. The tread pattern does not fill up with wet snow. Road noise for both of these tires is low and creates only a low level whir. These 295/65/18 Duratrac's fit perfectly on my 2005 F350 with single rear wheels. They fill up the wheel wells nicely and give the truck a very tough look. Our family has six F350's and I will recommend this tire to all my friends and family.
i can handle a little road noise, i have 39.5 IROKS on my F250 and they have a road rumble, but it's not as bad as some that i've ran (39.5 STS, nd 38.5 TSL's). i' wouldn't mind a IROK, or TRUXUS style tread, more aggressive than your BFG mud tire or good year, but not as aggressive as your bogger or TSL. my 39.5's have been holding up very well, granted they only have about 12K on them since i put them on, but holding up very well for a tall radial tire.
