evolution or ts

I have a 2002 f350 7.3 diesel, exhaust, intake and gauges, 6 inch lift, 37x13.5 tires. Im thinking about selling the gauges and getting either an evolution cs or a juice with attitude. I had a 4 position chip in it and blew the tranny and torque converter. I feel safer with the evolution option because of my experience. My question is should I keep the gauges and go with a ts performance chip or sell the gauges and go with the evolution. The torque converter was replaced with a h.d. slightly higher stall converter. Im not real concerned about the price just want to know the best way to go. Also should I get the juice with attitude or the evolution cs if I decide to go that way.

Depending on what gauges you have i would not be selling them if they are Boost,EGT and tranny temp. Most here will recomend DP tuner but there are other ones out there. Other people will chime in with alot for feed back for you.Welcome to FTE.

The lift & tires are probably what did it, unless you re-geared for them. 37s are pretty tough on the trans...

The chip that was in it made it shift early and the torque converter hit way to hard.

The Edge stuff I've seen adds little power and makes the tranny shift rough. My wife's truck came with the edge. We switched over to Tony's tunes and there is a night and day difference in power and shifting.

My suggestion would be if you don't want to regear, at least install a shift kit or modified valve body, then go with a custom chip that can tweak your shift points based on your lift, tires, and rear end.

If you tell us where you're at, maybe someone close by has an AE and can adjust your speedo for you.

Take that 4 position chip and send it to Beans Diesel Performance for about a 100-150 bucks he can get you all set up. Also like was stated if your truck is on that much lift and tires it doesn't take that much to wear out a tranny like stated. An edge is HARD on trannies I have personally seen them eat two here in TN without a lift.

I agree with the guys, your already halfway their, you have the TS chip, just look to one of these great tuners we have here to get you on the right track and give your truck and you the tunes it deserves. Beans and Tony Wildman and even Cale at BTS tune these chips I believe.

All great suggestions as already posted. You could also look into Power Hungry Performance. I am waiting on a chip from him now.
