Ok you guys win. I'll buy the ts chip from advance or xdp for 235 and send it to wildman for a tweak. Now how do I fix the speedo problem ?

Hang around here. Odds are you'll find someone or some event close enough that you can meet up with someone who has an AE that sill adjust the speedo for you.

When you send the chip to Tony, be sure to note the lift, tire size & rear end gears on his website order forum.

You stated you had a 4 position chip I know you can send it to Beans and have them tune it for a hundred bucks they can do old style chips just call them up and save you some money from buying a new TS chip.

The chip from wildman is 300 plus each slot filled. Chip from advance or anywhere else is only 235 with all 6 slots filled. It's cheaper to buy it anywhere else and have him tune it.

A wicked wheel is the same wheel that comes on OBS and early '99 trucks. It is a little less efficient at moving air and in turn reduces the amount of surge when under heavy loads. It will give you more whistle. Another way to obtain that is by removing the foam on the IC pipes. But the best way is to get a 38R!!

Maybe your's doen't have it, but the intercooler (IC) pipes go from the turbo to the IC and back. Looks like tin foil wrapped around them.
I didn't have to do it, my pipes didn't have it, but the newer trucks do.

yeah foil delete. ive read about it but havent got to it. remove the intercooler pipes and inspect the boots(rubber couplings) if they are in poor shape, get new ones, cut the foil and remove the insulation, the glue will require heavy duty adheasive remover. ive read it is not to bad to do and will increase the whistle, if it wasnt so cold and white out id know!! there will be oil residue in the pipes, i suggest the 6637 filter and ccv delete to stop that, also easy. i just did the wheel, 6637, and ccv, much more whistle. im tryin to come up with a solid pipe between the turbo and filter, that might help as well. there are some threads with pics and links i would put up, not to good with computers.
