Can someone tell me what this is? Looks like some kind of extension on the end of the plug. Was going to try to do something with Ursula today. This is the missing plug, found it hanging over the steering shaft. According to The Zone, these aren't the right plugs for her anyway. Not sure what they do fit. Tried to take some pictures, cell phone doesn't take very good pictures. Tried to get closeups after seeing the first two.
Thanks for the info everybody. Never saw one before & was more lost & confused than I usually am. All I can say is this guy always told me he was a long time FORD mechanic. I certainly hope not. Half the plug wires are covered in electrical tape, the overflow hose from the radiator to the overflow bottle is cut off & missing about half of the hose. This plug does nothing to make me feel any better. Oil doesn't look like it's ever been changed. My niece told me he changed it a few hundred miles ago, few hundred thousand from the looks of it. I have a feeling I'm going to be losing money on this deal. The air filter box wasn't even screwed down on one side & it feels like it's stripped on that side. The intake snorkel tube is gone ( wanted to steal that for Old Rusty ), just open box under the hood. Another thing I'm not fixing. The pos. battery cable has what looks like household electrical wire spliced into it to go up to the battery, The more I look at Ursula, the more I wonder Whiskey Tango Foxtrot this guy was doing. Very glad he never did anything to Old Rusty for me. Don't think I'd trust him to even change a bulb after seeing this mess. Note to self: No more favors for family. You don't need the headaches. Will be replacing the air filter & breather filter, actually not bad considering the shape everything else seems to be in. Dirty enough to be replaced, not full & you wonder how it could even breathe ( like a lot of lawn mowers I've seen ). Doing all that, I might as well throw a new PCV valve in too. Didn't see it when I was there yesterday, didn't look real hard.
