Dude, people underestimate the dual cam 3.0L. That thing really is a beast. It feels like it has twice the horse it's rated for. That thing.. man. I just have nothing but good to say about it.
Or my best diagnostic tool for a little tickin' or knockin' in my Ole Fords has been repeated hard accels accompanied by a few hard up shifts and an occasional loaded down shift. If that don't bring the problem to the surface ain't no problem.
Yeah, I think it woulda dug a hole & got you stuck as well. I'd suggest never usin it except when already stuck or on some very hard surface. I have a 5 position transfer and in 27 yrs (plowin sno, workin in the woods) have used low twice. (May B it's the 411s). Oh, wait a sec, U said limited slip traction controll? Oh, that's different.
