i have a 1995 f250 5 speed and here lately when i get to 55mph and just give it enough gas to stay at 55 it vibrates really bad seems like its coming from right underneath my seat i can give it more gas or let off the gas and it will stop it just started doin this couple days ago all the ujoints look good i changed the tranny fluid idk what else it could be your all help would be highly appreciated
i have no clue bout the flywheel but just in 5th at 55 i can let off and no vibrations or give more gas no vibration just when i barley give any throttle its pretty bad vibration
try running your engine at the same rpm in 4th gear as it is in 5th at 55 ie if in 5th at 55 you are at 2100 run 2100 rpm in 4th gear and see if the vibration is there also
well tonight i drove he truck alot n every gear was vibration even slowing down with the foot off the gas it was vibrating its gotten worse in a day what could this be please help
if 4 wheel drive and not used too often could have one hub locked in and spinning the drive shaft! or worn out or frozen u joints on the axle shafts.
have you checked front wheel bearings? jack up each side and rotate the tire, then try rocking the tire up and down.
have you checked the front brakes? i did a brake job on a truck one time and the rotors were worn all the way through the discs and the pads were riding on the cooling vanes, that caused a vibration.
center support bearing on drive shaft.
input pinion on rear end, flange nut can come loose and let the pinion run back against the 3rd member.
carrier bearings on 3rd member
and don't forget a tire with the belts separating. jack up each tire ans slowly rotate and watch the tread for shifting sideways and high spots.
im in barbourville kentucky and its 4 wheel drive ive checked both hubs there on free i checked all ujoint theres no slack or movement it jus keeps gettin worse tho reckon its tranny?
a little more info would be helpful. If it's a dual mass flywheel the springs and the pilot bearing are typical problems. I had same problem but it was dependant on rpm. does it stop if you depress the clutch?
