I thought the brown/pink already spliced into the red/green after the resistor.
The brown/pink is connected to a set of contacts inside the switch that have power in the "start" position. Even though the diagram shows the red/lightgreen wire(which is hooked to the "run" position contact) is bridged internally to receive power in both the "start" position and the "run" position, I thought it would be extra insurance that the red/green did have power in the "start" position by jumping the brown/pink over to it right as it comes out of the switch.
This is good stuff, can I put the thread in reverse a tad to get instruction on how to wire the bosch relay that LCAM suggested I use to power the coil?
Hey guys, Just wanted to let you know I installed the relay last night and it works perfectly. No more Nascar toggle switch starting. Thanks for all the help.
Yeah, when I look back over the past month I think I've accomplished quite a bit and it's been made possible for me with the help of you all at FTE. I've been dinking around with it since day one and for me, it's as fun doing the project work as it is driving it.
I originally bought it to do all the dirty work I didn't want to do in my '09. Basically a dump truck but I think it means a little more to me than that now. It's still going to be the little brother who gets the shaft on all the chores. I seem to look at it and feel about it a little differently since making it MUCH better than it was when I bought it.
