I was reading some older forums about Vintage Airs Compact Heaters which seem promising as complete units.
My truck came with a hole in the firewall under the dash where the heater should have been. It is completely gone. All I can find of it is a **** under the dash and a wire lead that looks like it would have reached there.
Are their any other aftermarket kits available? I'm interested in heaters that can also be the defroster.
Any testimonials? Ofcourse I'm looking for the cheapest option.
Write a PM to Denny (firstrider). He is going to be getting two Magic Air heaters and is going to offer them after he restores them. They will be 51/52 of course but will work just fine in your truck.

You might want to try Sacramento Vintage Ford. I got one for my 48 f1, it's about an 8" cube and it's a heater & defroster and a real easy fit.
Good Luck, Bob
