Well I have an SCT X3 and I have a problem with it and hoping one of you guys or gals help me out.
Basically yesterday I was trying to install a tune. Well I got an error during the first part of uploading after starting the tuning. It really scarred me because when I turned the key off on my truck and went to start it and it started fine. Just a quick side note, running stock sucks! Back to my question. My SCT is now saying it is locked to my truck with a tune loaded on it, but there is no stock file to put back in. I still have 5 unlocks left at this time so I tried to install another tune and I get another error. Is there anything I can do? I did update the firmware after the first error happened if that helps
When I got my X3 it would not load custom tunes. Called IDP and they said call SCT to get the required driver, got the correct Windows Vista driver and then SCT walked me through the first tune transfer. After that, a piece of cake. Great customer service!
Yeah, had to chain up to park a 20,000lb trailer in that storage bldg. The snow melt had built up a 2' high mound of ice right in front of the door so I was worried about sliding on the ice right into the side of the bay door, had to park the 30' trailer in at an angle due to the bldg. being only 24'. It was fun! V-Bar chains kept me where I wanted to be.
Get it figured out yet? If it said something like download failure detected, it might not let you tune the vehicle again until you use the device to return to stock, even if you're truck is still stock. Most of the safety features are pretty good, but it count account for everything.
