i been laughin' at this thread all day now. gettin' the new clutch hydraulics in about an hour so we will see what i can find after i get that stuff. then tomorrow go find fittings to check fuel pressure
this stupid hydraulic clutch setup sux!!!! i ordered the parts and they couldn't seem to get what i wanted. i ordered a pre bled setup and they gave me a slave cylinder so i had to go get a master and new line(my line was bent all up and was in bad shape). got it all put in and should be completely bled, but the clutch engages WAYYYY low in the pedal about 1/4" or so off the floor. so i'm going to have to mess with this for a little while longer i guess... did go drive it though. got into it quite a few times too and it's nice to have some power again!! driving the 6.7 cummins this week just wasn't doin' it for me. notice the knock a little bit, but still had full power and boost. ICP read about 2500psi at WOT in the extreme tune. got with Jim and should have a scan guage before long now so i can read all the stuff i need like IPR % and buzz/CCT tests. Also went out to try to find some fittings to use for a fuel pressure guage and didn't find anything that would fit the threads on this guage that i got from Dieselsite awhile back. i will have to try some other places tomorrow if i can get the clutch hydraulics working right.
UPDATE!!!!!! ok guys i was finally able to get a scanner on my truck. the scanner is a snap on solus scanner. first thing i did was pull for codes. got a lot of codes. got a RAM error, CPS code, EBP sensor, turbo boost sensor circuit A, IAT, and TPS(this is from unplugging it then starting it without plugging it back in). so i cleared all those b/c those usually always come up except for the CPS code which i'm guessing is from when my old black CPS went out and i put in the grey one and the TPS is from unplugging it and forgetting to plug it back in.
ran the buzz test and system passed, but at the start of the buzz test something doesn't sound right. sounds like one of the injectors buzzes then stops buzzing for a second then starts buzzing again and works fine. then i ran the CCT and it came up with cylinders 1,2,3,4,5,6, AND 8!!!!!! so even though i had drove it an hour to get to the shop i thought maybe letting it sit for all of 3-5 minutes while i grabbed the scanner out of the shop allowed it to cool down too much so just to make sure i turn it off then restarted and went driving. the IPR % will get to 47%, but no more than that. oil temp stays at 177-179* and didn't look at ICP much on the scanner b/c i have the guage, but it read 5500kPa at idle which comes out to 797psi. injector pulsewidth gets up to 4ms which is too much for these injectors. i believe these will probably empty in less than 3ms, but i could be wrong. they are 160cc w/ 80% nozzles.
Once i drove it around for about 10 minutes and knew without a doubt that it was completely warmed up i did the CCT again immediately. again it came back with cylinders 1,2,3,4,5,6, AND 8 cylinder contribution balance fault.
i'm starting to notice that the truck is loping more often at idle now than what it was when i noticed this. it will be idling fine, but then about a minute later it will work its way into a lope. if i switch programs while it's doing it then it will idle smooth again, but work its way back into a lope again after idling for a minute or so. Is a phone call to Jim in order or what? haha. still need to get a fuel pressure guage worked into the cab to make sure it's not dropping too much

When it is loping , have you tried unplugging the ICP .
what would make it stay around that temp? i know it should be around 200* correct??? i had driven the truck about an hour to get to the shop then it sat for a couple minutes then ran again. i guess i could try to do it again today and just drive around to see if the oil temp comes up. when i was watching the oil temp it was bounching back and forth between 177,178, & 179*.. do you think the EOT sensor could be bad? IIRC the PCM keeps timing raised til 180* right??? so that would mean that i'm running gobs of timing all the time thus risking big breakage if my tuning runs a lot of timing and i run it real hard which has been done. haha. i'm not sure how much timing Tony pulls on his chips though
