EGT probe install

Got my EGT probe yesterday and it had directions that showed it being installed from under the truck. Where is everybody installing there probe?

I installed mine in the rear of the driver's side exhaust manifold.

I just got an Insite as well. I put my probe in the drivers side just like the picture showed. I had the engine out so I drilled and tapped the manifold on the bench.

Gauge Installations at DieselManor- 2003-2007 6.0L Powerstroke
Look at picture #21. Drivers side exhaust manifold is where I put the probe.

quick question about EGT guage... just put banks 6gun in my truck and it came with egt sensor, installed it and was wondering if i could just hook up a guage to the 2 wire coming from the sensor???
