I remember a great write up on gauge install including the egt probe. I have searched and cannot locate it, I even searched the tech files. If you know where it is located please let me know. I am adding an egt gauge and the generic install does not cover correct wires to tap into etc.
Just did mine this weekend following this writeup. Remember to start with a small bit and work your way up to letter R drillbit to keep metal shavings small. when you are all done take a vacuum and suck out the debris from the hole. DO NOT coat your bits in any type of lube or grease as this will just make a mess.
If you really inventive you could take some PVC pipe and a vacuum
and hook the hose up so that the end mates up to the manifold and
surrounds the bit. That way your pulling the chips out as you drill.
I never liked the grease idea myself and that is why I thought about this.
