Well, after three years of having a speedo that doesn't work, I finally took apart the gauge cluster, swapped in a new speedo, hooked it all back up, and WOW!!! It actually works! haha, only thing is I accidently moved the needle so it's reading inaccurate... but by exactly 10mph slow, so not bad!
I did however accidently switch the lenses for the indicators. needed to be retaped on, and now my turn signal is red and highbeams are green, oh well they light up at least!
accident? no. if you're referring to the colors, it's no big deal at all, to me at least. and at some point I'll end up taking it all apart again when I shell out the money for the reproduced bezel and then shell out some more money to paint it the correct way.
Hey there's an idea! I'll start buying them, painting them correctly, and then charge 50 bucks more plus shipping! lol
If its reading 10 mph off no matter what the speed your traveling, you only need to adjust the needle. If you are 10 mph off at a specific speed then you need to swap out your speedo driven gear. Both are relativly easy to do.
