good intercooler kit??
Im looking to put an intercooler on the wifes truck but i know nothing about good brands or anything. id like to get a kit but i have no problem with just buying the parts if its cheaper. the truck is a 87 250 with the 7.3 idi in it and it has the ats turbo on it. any suggestions on where to buy and how much is reasonable to pay will help out alot.

There's a few out there that have done this using a used 99-01 stroke intercooler. A little cutting required for mounting and plumbing of course. Hypermax makes a kit but $$. I just found this site last night cxracing.com: Huge Turbo Intercooler 31"x18"x4", 4" Core: 24"x18"x4", 3" Inlet Outlet, F150 F250 Ram GMC Silverado
that offers a cooler for f-series body style but I don't know the size comparison to a stock ford unit.

I have heard the stroke coolers are easier to fab up if you run them upside down.
No experiance myself though, I would be interested in seeing info of an install to see if there has been anyone has done this and if ic can be done and keep the factory air.
