Been reading a lot on building an intercooler. Seems we need to find the spyder from an early 1999 truck. Problem is they are hard to find. Tried researching online about people who have built their own, from exhaust tubing and welding it up. No luck.
I really like the spyder that Banks includes in their kit for the 94's. I'm not interested in spending $1400.00 for their complete kit and they do sell a kit with everything minus the actual intercooler but they want $910.00 for it.
Is there any company that makes a spyder for installing an intercooler?
Is there anyone who has made their own by welding up a bunch of tubing?
There are a couple guys that heavily modded the original ypipe I believe. I don't have any links for you though. You could send a pm to rideracelivemx7, I'm sure he did this.
Only issue I see with the gtsmotorsports spyder is the air would flow into the drivers side easier and not as well into the passenger side. Might not make any difference tho.

Good call, but maybe is the same in the stock early 99 Y PIPE
You can buy just the spider from Banks, that's what I did on mine. You need two parts, the twin ram, and the compressor outlet. It's not cheap, but compared to the cost of an early 99 spider and new boots it's not bad. You don't have to replace your boots with the Banks spider.
